The QCD phase diagram for small densities from imaginary chemical potential

چکیده

We present results on the QCD phase diagram for μB ≤ πT . Our simulations are performed with an imaginary chemical potential μI for which the fermion determinant is positive. On an 83 × 4 lattice with 2 flavors of staggered quarks, we map out the phase diagram and identify the pseudo-critical temperature Tc(μI). For μI/T ≤ π/3, this is an analytic function, whose Taylor expansion is found to converge rapidly, with truncation errors far smaller than statistical ones. The truncated series may then be continued to real μ, yielding the corresponding phase diagram for μB <∼ 500 MeV. This approach provides control over systematics and avoids reweighting. We compare it with other recent work.

Qcd Phase Diagram for Small Densities from Simulations at Imaginary Μ

We present results on the QCD phase diagram for small densities without reweighting. The Phase Diagram of N F = 3 Qcd for Small Baryon Densities

We demonstrate how to locate the critical endpoint of the QCD phase transition by means of simulations at imaginary µ. For the three flavor theory, we present numerical results for the pseudo-critical line as a function of chemical potential and bare quark mass, as well as the bare quark mass dependence of the endpoint.

Real and Imaginary Chemical Potential in 2-color Qcd

In this paper we study the finite temperature SU(2) gauge theory with staggered fermions for non-zero imaginary and real chemical potential. The method of analytical continuation of Monte Carlo results from imaginary to real chemical potential is tested by comparison with simulations performed directly for real chemical potential. We discuss the applicability of the method in the different regi...

The 3-state Potts model as a heavy quark finite density laboratory

The 3-D Z(3) Potts model is a model for finite temperature QCD with heavy quarks. The chemical potential in QCD becomes an external magnetic field in the Potts model. Following Alford et al.[3], we revisit this mapping, and determine the phase diagram for an arbitrary chemical potential, real or imaginary. Analytic continuation of the phase transition line between real and imaginary chemical po...

Towards the QCD phase diagram

We summarize our recent results on the phase diagram of QCD with N f = 2+1 quark flavors, as a function of temperature T and quark chemical potential μ . Using staggered fermions, lattices with temporal extent Nt = 4, and the exact RHMC algorithm, we first determine the critical line in the quark mass plane (mu,d ,ms) where the finite temperature transition at μ = 0 is second order. We confirm ...
